As a company committed to environmental protection, Designer Outlet Warszawa strives for the highest standards of sustainable facility design and construction to achieve the best possible environmental performance.
The environmental certification obtained with EXCELLENT RESULTS attests to the effectiveness of measures taken by Designer Outlet Sosnowiec towards protecting the environment.
What’s BREEAM?
The British BREEAM certification is the benchmark for assessing the environmental impact of buildings in terms of construction materials, solar energy, waste management, rainwater use, sustainable management, accessibility, cycle paths, and EV charging stations.
The use of LED technology reduces electricity costs and overall energy consumption. The main advantage of LED lighting is that it’s energy-efficient and, for this reason, seen as environmentally friendly. Compared to standard lighting, LED fixtures use up to 10 times less electricity without producing any heat.
We work to minimise our total waste production and encourage recycling. The centre provides appropriate recycling containers.
With electric vehicle users in mind, we have installed a charging station in Designer Outlet Warszawa. There are 4 easy-to-use chargers at your disposal, so you can charge your car while shopping! The charging stations are located on level 0 of the multistorey car park. Just drive in and head to the right-hand end of the car park – you’ll find the charging stations on the left.
The number of cyclists in cities is increasing. A bicycle is an excellent choice not only for leisure activities but also as an everyday means of transport. Designer Outlet Warszawa boasts convenient cycle paths accessible directly outside the centre.
Keep up with the latest fashion and stay eco-aware on your fitness journey.
The green spaces at Designer Outlet Warszawa have been built to BREEAM in Use guidelines. In the car park, you’ll find a meadow protecting the local insect ecosystem and a variety of plants, shrubs and trees. The walkways in the centre are decorated with potted plants.
Insects are the foundation of most ecosystems. Some of them pollinate flowers, while others help decompose organic waste. Inspired by their work, we have installed bug hotels around our centre to help our ecosystem remain self-sustaining.
All toilets and urinals in the centre are fitted with technology that conforms to the highest standards of the BREEAM In Use certificate, enabling optimised water consumption.
Designer Outlet Warszawa is equipped with grease separators. They ensure that any pollutants from the use and processing of oil and grease are separated from the rainwater.
Signage encouraging customers to become eco-friendly, promoting using reusable bags, travelling by public transport, and choosing cycling over driving.
# Mystyleofdenim in Designer Outlet Warszawa, combined with CSR activities. During the denim days at the centre, visitors could donate unwanted second-hand denim clothing. It was recycled by Fundacja Eco Textil, a charity that gave the clothes a second life and used the money to purchase rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities.
Designer Outlet Warszawa and Eco Textil showed support to the Pęchery Special School Complex located near Piaseczno, Poland by donating exercise bikes for students with disabilities.
A container for unworn clothing and textile fabrics has been installed on level 0 of the car park, near the entrance to the centre.
You can leave clothes that are no longer used or needed. When going shopping simply take your clothes with you and toss them into the container. All the collected garments will be reused. Items of the best quality are left in the original condition and resold to second hand shops and the rest are recycled.
The reuse process is supervised by Fundacja Eco Textil.
